MOST CHULA VISTA CITY OFFICES TO BE CLOSED FROM DEC. 25 UNTIL JAN. 2

Most City of Chula Vista offices will be closed for the holidays beginning Dec. 25 and continuing through the week

between Christmas and New Year.s. All offices will reopen on Jan. 2. The City will observe the following service

schedules between Dec. 25 and Jan. 2:

Police and Fire:

maintain normal schedules with the police lobby closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.

Emergency 9-1-1 response will remain fully operational; police officers and firefighters will

 

Animal Care Facility

and Jan. 1.

will be open on Dec. 23, 26, 27 and 30. They will be closed Dec. 21, 22, 24, 25, 28, 29, 31

 

Libraries:

Normal library hours will resume on Jan. 2. The EastLake Branch will be closed Dec. 24-Jan. 3.

The Civic Center Branch and South Chula Vista Branch will close at 3 p.m. on Dec. 24 through Jan. 1.

 

Recreation Centers:

Public Works will be closed. With the exception of scheduled youth basketball league games that will be played

on Dec. 20, all recreation/community centers and the Parkway Swimming Pool will be closed Dec. 20 through

Jan. 4. Loma Verde Swimming Pool will be closed from Dec. 24 through Jan. 1.

All City parks will be open during posted hours, however the park reservation office in

Nature Center:

closed Jan. 1.

Closed Dec. 22 . 26; open Dec. 27, 28; closed Dec. 29; open Dec. 30- 3 p.m. on Dec. 31 and

Public Works Operations:

concerning streets or sewers, call (619) 691-5151. For non-emergencies, please call (619) 397-6000 and leave a

message.

 

The office at 1800 Maxwell Road will be closed. To report problems or emergencies

Household Hazard Waste Facility

Dec. 27 and Dec. 31. It will reopen on Saturday, January 3, 2009

: The Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off Facility will be closed Dec. 24, .

 

City Hall/Civic Center Complex:

Clerk, City Manager, Human Resources, Community Development, Planning and Building,

Engineering, and Finance) will be closed to the public. Exceptions include emergency inspections for gas line

repairs, which may be requested (24 hour turn-around) by calling (619) 691-5009. The building permit counter

will be closed and routine inspections will not be performed.

Administrative offices at 276 Fourth Ave. (Mayor/Council, City Attorney, City
