BUBBLE-OLOGY PRESENTED AT CHULA VISTA PUBLIC LIBRARY

BUBBLE-OLOGY PRESENTED AT CHULA VISTA PUBLIC LIBRARY

Children will have an opportunity for some hands-on fun with “Bubble-ology”, as the second installment in a series of programs offered by the South Bay Children’s Museum at the Chula Vista Public Library. “Bubble-ology” will be held on March 18, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Civic Center Branch in the Children’s Room. The Civic Center Branch is located at 365 F St.   All programs are free and open to the public.
“This partnership presents wonderful new opportunities for our community and our library, and our first event was a tremendous success,” said Leah Browder, interim Library Director. The South Bay Children’s Museum, a local non-profit organization, launched its mini-mobile services in September 2007, according to Executive Director, Erica Fessia. “The goal of the museum is to reach out to local children with fun and exciting hands-on programs that integrate math, science and art education,” said Fessia.
The museum’s first program titled “Perception Puzzlers” had children testing all their senses. Each program in the series is designed to provide children with the opportunity to explore the topic directly within the exhibit, read about the subject, check out related library resources and take home ideas for additional activities to extend the learning.
