FREE TAX ASSISTANCE NOW AVAILABLE AT CHULA VISTA LIBRARIES
This tax season don’t deal with the frustration of misplaced forms and tax publications or struggle to answer tax questions. To help residents with their taxes, the Chula Vista Public Library has tax assistance offered by volunteers, and paper copies of many tax forms and instruction booklets.
“We invite our residents to utilize the library’s services to help prepare their taxes,” said Interim Library Director Leah Browder. “Whether they need copies of forms or come in for personal assistance, the library strives to make this stressful and busy time easier.”
Free tax help: Free personal tax assistance starts on Feb. 1 and ends on April 14 at two of the Chula Vista Public Library branches on the following days and times:
- Civic Center Branch: AARP has scheduled sessions every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sign-up for time slots will be available on the day of service—no advance appointments will be taken.
- South Chula Vista Branch: AARP is offering assistance on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday from 12 noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday Tax Assistance at South Chula Vista Branch will end on March 11.
