Southwest Community Convention March 15
Residents of Southwest Chula Vista can share their priorities and vision for the future at a free family event Saturday, March 15 at the Otay Recreation Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Southwest Chula Vista Community Convention will provide a forum for residents who have ideas about improving local neighborhoods. They are invited to share those ideas with elected leaders and bilingual staff members. The convention is open to the entire family and includes games for children, raffle prizes and light refreshments.
Several City of Chula Vista departments, as well as a number of non-profit and service agencies will be on hand to provide information and answer questions. Among the agencies are: South Bay Community Services; Chula Vista Community Collaborative; South Bay Children’s Museum; Family Health Clinics of San Diego; Chula Vista Elementary School District; Sweetwater Union High School District; Home Start; South Bay YMCA, and more.
The convention is part of the City’s creative approach to developing improvements in neighborhoods that have aging infrastructure and special needs.
