City and community leaders are urging the public to support the Chula Vista Nature Center by visiting

immediate email confirmation of their donation.
The Nature Center, a popular zoo/aquarium refuge along San Diego Bay, is one of a number of city
services and programs slated for deep budget cuts. The City Council is considering reductions in staff,
services and operations in an effort to close a $4 million gap in the current budget and a $20 million
shortfall projected for next fiscal year.

Just this week,
$125,000 from the Sempra Foundation. In addition, an anonymous donor has stepped up to issue a
challenge grant of $125,000. That means all donations received by December 31, will be matched dollar
for dollar, up to $125,000.
Friends of the Chula Vista Nature Center
