Chula Vista Offers Passport Services at City Hall
Need a passport? Beginning November 1, the Chula Vista City Clerk’s office will be offering passport services at City Hall Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to noon. One-stop Passport Application Services are available—by appointment only—at a new kiosk in the City Hall lobby at 276 Fourth Avenue.
Due to stepped-up travel restrictions, passports are now required for some trips to Mexico and Canada as well as more distant destinations. Until now, passport services have been offered at only one location in Chula Vista—the Post Office. The City Hall location gives applicants another convenient, reliable option.
Applicants must be prepared with the necessary paperwork before they arrive for their appointment. Pick up an application at the Office of the City Clerk or download the form by visiting http://travel.state.gov. Submit your paperwork, present the necessary documentation, and have your photograph taken at the City Clerk’s kiosk in the lobby area.
Charges, payable by check or money order only, include a $67 federal processing fee and a $30 City of Chula Vista processing fee. Photographs cost $15. To make an appointment, call (619) 691-5041; to find out more information, listen to a recorded message at (619) 409-1950.
