The San Diego Zoo is known world wide for its beautiful setting in Balboa Park in the heart of San Diego. The zoo offers visitors a special place to visit while in San Diego. Visitors to San Diego Zoo are not only entertained by the vast variety of species to view but will also enjoy the many animal shows the wide variety of plant life throughout the park.

The San Diego Zoo cares for more than 4,000 individual animals representing 800 different species. Its collection of animals, as well as its plant collection of over 6,500 species, is acknowledged as one of the finest in the entire world. Among the 4,000 animals representing 800 species are some of the rarest wildlife in the world, including koalas and giant pandas. Deluxe admission includes Zoo admission, with unlimited use of Guided Bus Tour, Express Bus, and Skyfari Aerial Tram. Parking at the Zoo is free.
