Chula Vista Elementary School District announced October 15 that its schools will participate in Red Ribbon Week, October 23–31, 2026, a national observance promoting healthy choices and drug-free living.
This year’s district-announced theme is “Make A Difference. Be A Hero. Stay Drug Free.” The message emphasizes that students can make a positive difference in their schools and communities through everyday decisions and actions.
A chance for families to participate
Red Ribbon Week provides an opportunity for families to discuss healthy habits, peer pressure, supporting friends and making safe decisions. Families should consult their individual schools for any campus-specific activities, dress-up days or participation instructions; the district announcement does not establish a uniform schedule for every campus.
