Otay Landfill has provided safe, reliable and environmentally responsible waste disposal for businesses and municipalities throughout San Diego County since the 1960s. Located near Chula Vista, the Landfill is permitted to handle approximately 6,700 tons of waste per day, or 1.8 million tons annually.
Otay Landfill has a public drop off area on site. Residents may bring loads of trash and clean-up debris for disposal on our paved surface convenience station. A fee is charged for disposal based on tonnage and waste type. Call the Landfill at (619) 421-3773 in advance for a list of rates.
