CHULA VISTA — October 28, 2026. With six days remaining until the November 3 general election, Chula Vista residents have time to vote early and check their ballot-return plans. San Diego County has select vote centers open now, with all locations opening Saturday, October 31.
San Diego County voting hours
- October 28–30: Select vote centers open 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
- October 31–November 2: All vote centers open 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
- Election Day, November 3: Vote centers open 7 a.m.–8 p.m.

Plan your ballot drop-off
Official county ballot drop boxes are available during the voting period. Check each location’s access hours at SDVote.com. November 3 is the final voting day, with official drop boxes and vote centers closing at 8 p.m.
Returning a ballot by mail
Mailed ballots must be postmarked by November 3 and received by November 10. California recommends mailing at least seven days early. With that window now past, the state advises taking your ballot to a post office and requesting a manual postmark if you choose mail.
