Chula Vista residents have two City Council meetings on the calendar today, Tuesday, October 6.
The City has scheduled a special City Council meeting for 4 p.m., followed by the regular meeting at 5 p.m. Both meetings will be held in Council Chambers at 276 Fourth Avenue.
One of the action items listed for the special meeting is interviews and consideration of appointments to fill two Planning Commission vacancies: one at-large seat and one qualified professional seat.
Residents can attend in person or listen and participate by phone. The City lists 619-679-9952 as the call-in number and directs residents who want to speak to register through its City Council meeting portal.
The Planning Commission plays an important role in reviewing land-use and development matters, making these appointments relevant as Chula Vista continues to deal with growth, housing and redevelopment issues across the city.
