Otay Ranch Town Center will host a community event later this month in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
“Breathe & Believe, United in Pink!” is scheduled for Tuesday, October 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Otay Ranch Town Center, 2015 Birch Road in Chula Vista.
The free event is expected to include Yoga Flow classes, decorate-and-take T-shirts, music and treats. Organizers will also feature a large “Warrior Wall,” where visitors can place pink ribbons honoring people who have battled breast cancer, survived it or died from the disease.
Thirty-minute yoga sessions are scheduled between 5 and 6 p.m.
Otay Ranch Town Center General Manager Tim Kilcourse said the event is intended to combine community participation with awareness of breast-cancer education and screening.
The event is free and open to the public.
